Inter House Cricket Competition

The House system is of great importance to school life. Its function is to inculcate the spirit of healthy competition among students and encourage it within school. The Inter – House activities give all students the opportunity to participate in representative Sport and Performing Arts activities with the aim of raising self esteem, developing self- confidence and giving opportunities for leadership and teamwork beyond those already available within school.

We got a glimpse of the competitive spirit of the students during these cricket matches. Determination and passion combined to make it a very thrilling competition.

“It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.”

~ Albert Einstein

No words can express our gratitude to teachers. They give us all the reasons to dream big and all the resources to achieve it. On this Teachers’ Day, we, the students of PPSH wish our teachers a very Happy Teachers’ Day.

Teachers' Day

Science is the only logical explanation for what happens in the world. The whole universe is based on science. It is the pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence. Scientists have made innumerable discoveries and proved many things that humans could not even think of. The world as a whole is grateful for these people and their discoveries.

In an effort to honor our scientists and learn more about their inventions and their thought processes, our school organized a science exhibition where all the students from grades 4-10 made working or display models of these well-known scientists. The students had chosen topics that are in their current syllabus and had researched advanced topics as well. Everyone had put an effort into presenting their best work in front of teachers, parents, and their fellow peers. Now let's set sail to explore a very scientific tale.

"Science knows no country because knowledge belongs to humanity, and is the torch which illuminates the world"

~Louis Pasteur

"The essence of dance is the expression of man -- the landscape of the soul."

We, here at PPSH believe in the ineffable power of a good book. World book day is celebrated with great Meraki, as students and teachers express their perennial love for literature.

World Book Day

Sanskrit is not just a language. It’s a part of us as Indians, it’s our origin, our culture. Sanskrit is the oldest language, it gives us immense pleasure to proudly say that it originated in India. To keep encouraging students about it, a Sanskrit Shloka competition was organized. Be ready to get overwhelmed by the enthusiastic participation from our students.

Sanskrit Shloka Recitation

“We do not inherit this earth from our ancestors, but borrow it from our children.”

To teach the important lesson of nature being nobody’s property to destroy but something we all must protect, our school decided to celebrate Environment day to implement the love for our environment deep within the hearts of our students.

World Environment Day

“दिल हमारे एक हैं एक ही है हमारी जान,हिन्दुस्तान हमारा है हम हैं इसकी शान,

जान लुटा देंगे वतन पे हो जाएंगे कुर्बान, इसीलिए हम कहते हैं मेरा भारत महान।”

Independence Day is significant as it commemorates the valour and spirit of the freedom fighters who fought for the independence of the nation. Here are the glimpses of the 76th Independence day celebration at PPSH.

Storytelling is just as old as time. And one such largely practiced way is drama. Drama has come a long way as one of the most divine arts. To celebrate this excellence of drama, PPSH organized an Avatar Competition.

Stand by, as our kids take to their story land.

Navratri Celebration

Navratri is a nine-day festival of divine feminism. A festival that is enigmatic yet simple. It is an event to eradicate enmity and egotism against the evil demons. It bedazzles us with archaic enlightenment. With dandiyas to garba, we go in harmony and glorify the renowned goddess Durga and Parvati by celebrating the nine youthful days. Children were asked to wear traditional dress on the day and danced to the tunes of various songs with the dandiya sticks and enjoyed playing the Dandiya raas.

Little Picasso

The Abstract painting Activity

"Form itself, even if completely abstract…has its own inner sound."      -Wassily Kandisky

Abstract art apprises children to be creative. It does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality but instead uses geometrical shapes, colors, forms and gestural marks to achieve its effect. It does not show people or things as they really look, but shows artist's feelings about them allowing them to shine and represent their creativity.

PPSH celebrates this day to let out children's imagination and creativity on things. So, here are some art works done by the students of class IV & V.

Musical Event

“Music touches us emotionally, where words alone can't.”― Johnny Depp

A melodious event where our talented students showcased their musical abilities much to the delight of their friends, fellow students and teachers.

Monologue

"There is no such thing as conversation. It is an illusion. There are intersecting monologues, that's all.”

Performing, writing and learning about monologues can produce more than just an appreciation for drama and writing.  The process can also help students build confidence in public speaking and develop storytelling skills.Monologues explain the self to you. They express what the real you wants to express. They procure the thoughts you really want, and make you freely say them, in a blissful manner. They personify your personality. Here, the students have gained and learned about these skills and have expressed it through a marvelous way.

So, let's take a chance to glimpse those astonishing sights, of the monologues that were made amusingly by the students of PPSH.

Mathemagic Week

Video

“Mathematics is the most beautiful and most powerful creation of the human spirit.”

Math helps us to have better problem-solving skills. Math helps us to think analytically and have better reasoning abilities. Analytical thinking refers to the ability to think critically about the world around us. Reasoning is our ability to think logically about a situation.

Some Students do not like mathematics because it is a challenging subject. Often students lack a strong foundation in the subject, which makes it harder for them to practice problems as they move into higher classes. Hence, our school has celebrated Mathemagic week to prove the beauty, importance, and magic of this subject.

Let us look at some of the masterpieces created by the creative and artistic minds of our school……..
