“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” — Nelson Mandela

Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in unprecedented disturbance across all industries, with the education sector being no exception. In such a difficult time society and industries have sought to counter the disruptions caused by the pandemic, through ‘great decentralization’ i.e., work-from-home or actually work-from-anywhere.

Similarly, online education by most of the school became a norm. However, online education possesses some limitations pertaining to the digital divide in India.

Now that the schools have reopened and children are getting integrated into the system, it is important to give them space for their smooth transition. However, in the

‘new normal’, the school too has changed from pre-pandemic times. While most children think “it’s a relief” to be back in school in person instead of interacting with teachers and classmates through a screen, the transition is challenging, according to teachers and school authorities. In the beginning of the session during April 2022, it wasn’t an easy task to settle down the students in physical classes. But due to constant support of all the authorities and cooperation of each other, we managed to bring the students back on the track. We have started our session with a goal to bring back the enthusiasm for physical classes and for this we have planned certain fun filled activities like drawing and craft which is one of the favourites of each child. The best part which is liked by the students are the activities taken from time to time in every subject and other co-curricular activities. We hope that the remaining part of the year will also go smoothly and all the students will learn many more things and improve in every field.
